Temporary Freezer Trailer Rentals in Nevada
KryoFridge keeps Nevada cold from the Strip to the Carlin Trend. We rent NSF-approved refrigeration and freezer trailers statewide, dialed anywhere from 0 to 50 degrees Fahrenheit, with same-day delivery across the Las Vegas Valley and next-day reach to Reno, Elko, and the rural Great Basin.
The freezer trailer company Nevada calls first
KryoFridge is a family-owned, direct owner-operated rental company, not a reseller or a ghost broker that farms your job out to someone else. We own one of the largest refrigerated and freezer trailer fleets in the West, so when a walk-in dies in Henderson or a mine camp near Elko needs bulk cold on short notice, you deal with us and the trailer is really ours. Every unit is dual-purpose, running as a walk-in cooler or a hard freezer from a single digital thermostat, and we are licensed and insured for work anywhere in the state. Some of the most recognized names in America trust us on the freezer side, including McDonald's, Chick-fil-A, and Dutch Bros Coffee, along with many more national restaurant, grocery, and quick-service brands. Same-day and 24/7 emergency dispatch covers Nevada end to end, plus California and Utah.
Already in town, not two counties away
Our trailers sit staged around Nevada, fueled, pre-cooled, and maintained in-house, parked and waiting for the call rather than being sourced after it. That is why an emergency call usually puts a unit on your lot and pulling temperature in about 45 minutes.
The direct operator, never a broker
The voice on the phone belongs to the same outfit that owns the trailer and sends the driver. No reseller in the middle quietly marking up somebody else's equipment while your inventory creeps past 40°F on the shelf.
The largest dual-purpose fleet in the West
Every unit is ours to own, service, and deliver, and each one swings between deep-freeze and fresh-cold on a precise digital set-point. So we can size the answer to your Nevada job and turn it around the same day rather than putting you on next week's list.
One fleet, the whole state. Most cold-storage outfits cover a single metro. We dispatch across all of Nevada plus California and Utah from a fleet we actually own, so the same company that backs up a Strip caterer can put a freezer trailer at a mine camp near Elko or a grocery store in Carson City. No brokers, no handoffs, no guessing whether a trailer will really show.
The Cold-Storage Name America's Biggest Brands Keep on Speed Dial
National chains do not gamble on refrigeration. A drifting set-point during dinner rush can cost a brand a day of sales and a health-code headache, so the chains that scale fast vet a cold-storage partner the same careful way they vet a protein supplier. KryoFridge has held temperature for names like McDonald's, Chick-fil-A, and Dutch Bros, and earned the repeat call.

The stories behind that trust are the kind every restaurant owner recognizes. One Friday at 6:30 in the evening, a Chick-fil-A called in with a dead walk-in and a drive-through line already wrapped around the building. We prepped a trailer, dispatched it, and had it on their pad pulling temperature 34 minutes after the phone rang. The manager's first words when the driver pulled in were, "I cannot believe you are already here." That is the bar we hold ourselves to. Another year, an overnight outage shorted a cooler on the morning of a holiday rush, and our team staged three freezer trailers to hold every pie, every protein, and every prep tray so the kitchen served the rush without missing a ticket. The reason we hear some version of that line so often is the same every time: the equipment was already nearby, already cold, and owned by the people who answered the phone. That same standard travels to every Nevada job, from a one-cook taqueria to a distribution floor.
Freezer trailer rentals for Nevada's biggest crowds
Across Nevada that flagship trailer does double duty. It holds a hard freeze for a mine-camp meat order outside Elko one week and runs as a refrigerated walk-in for a convention caterer on Paradise Road the next, all from the same digital setpoint and the same 54-inch pallet door.
Nevada throws some of the largest events in the country, and every one of them runs on cold food and cold drinks. In Las Vegas alone the calendar never stops: CES in January fills the Las Vegas Convention Center and Resorts World, the Electric Daisy Carnival takes over the Las Vegas Motor Speedway in May, Life is Beautiful shuts down Downtown in September, the Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix wraps the Strip in November, and the National Finals Rodeo packs the Thomas and Mack Center every December. When those halls sell out of built-in cold storage, caterers park a KryoFridge trailer behind the loading dock and keep going.
Northern Nevada carries its own heavy event load. Hot August Nights brings hundreds of thousands to Reno and Sparks, the Reno Rodeo runs every June, the Best in the West Nugget Rib Cook-Off draws record crowds to Sparks over Labor Day, and the Great Reno Balloon Race and Street Vibrations fill the Truckee Meadows through the fall. Out on the Black Rock Desert, Burning Man vendors haul in a week of perishables with no grid and no grocery for a hundred miles. A generator-ready freezer trailer is often the only cold storage that makes sense.
| Spec | What you get |
|---|---|
| Temperature range | Roughly -10°F deep-freeze up to about 50°F fresh-cold |
| Mode | Dual-purpose: freezer or refrigerator on one precise digital set-point |
| Power | A dedicated 120V, 20-amp circuit within about 100 feet, or a generator we supply |
| Food safety | NSF-approved for direct food contact, food-safe surfaces, proper drainage |
| Footprints | 6x8, 6x12, and 6x16, from a tight retail lot to distribution scale |
| Backing | Owned in-house, fully licensed and insured, with 24/7 emergency dispatch |
Each unit holds a precise digital set-point and runs on a dedicated 120V/20A circuit or a generator. The trailers are not wired for 208 to 240V building service, so we confirm your hookup before the truck rolls.
Resort banquet kitchens and convention centers are built for their own service, not for a 5,000-plate off-site gala or a three-day trade show with a full catering buildout. When the Las Vegas Convention Center, the Reno-Sparks Convention Center, Allegiant Stadium, T-Mobile Arena, or a Strip ballroom hosts something outsized, the overflow cold storage rolls in on wheels. We stage trailers as walk-in coolers for produce and dairy or as freezers for proteins and desserts, and one unit can flip between the two as the menu changes.
Timing is the whole game with events. We deliver ahead of load-in, place the trailer where your crew actually works instead of across a packed lot, walk your team through the digital thermostat and the 120V dedicated circuit or generator hookup, and pull it the morning after teardown. With 24/7 dispatch we can add a second or third trailer mid-event when the headcount jumps, which on a Nevada festival weekend it almost always does.
Statewide freezer trailer rentals for every kind of operation
Nevada is a big, hot, spread-out state, and cold storage rarely fails at a convenient time or place. We built our fleet and our dispatch around that reality: marquee events on the Strip, remote industrial sites in the north, and heat and outage emergencies that hit any town between them. Here is where our trailers earn their keep.

🍽 Restaurants & QSR
From Strip steakhouses to Reno diners to drive-throughs on Boulder Highway, a walk-in failure stops the kitchen cold. We back up your proteins, dairy, and prep the same day so service never pauses.

🛒 Grocery & supermarket
Smith's, Albertsons, Vons, WinCo, Raley's, Sprouts, Cardenas, and independent markets across Nevada lean on us for surge capacity, remodels, and outage saves. A single trailer holds pallets of product safe below 41 degrees.

📦 Catering & banquets
Convention caterers and off-site banquet teams in Las Vegas and Reno use our trailers as overflow coolers and freezers, flipping between the two as the menu and the guest count shift through a multi-day event.

🎪 Mining & remote camps
Man-camp kitchens near Elko, Ely, Winnemucca, and Round Mountain stage weeks of frozen and refrigerated food on site. Our generator-ready trailers hold a hard freeze on a dirt pad through desert heat.

🚨 Grocery distribution & 3PL
Cold docks in North Las Vegas and the Tahoe Reno Industrial Center call for stopgap capacity when a system goes down or volume spikes. We add cold space without a construction project.

🏭 Healthcare & disaster response
Hospitals, care facilities, and emergency kitchens need reliable cold during outages, wildfires, and heat waves. We roll trailers toward the emergency and run on generator power when the grid is out.
What ties these together is the clock. Nobody budgets a freezer trailer into next quarter. They reach for one the hour a compressor quits, or the evening before a party when the stack of rented ice chests suddenly looks laughably undersized. Since our units sit staged around Nevada instead of a couple counties down the freeway, "can I get it today" is an ordinary ask here, not a stretch.

What a Cold-Storage Failure Actually Costs a Nevada Operation
Add it up the way a Nevada owner has to. One restaurant walk-in routinely sits on a small fortune in proteins, dairy, and prepped product. Scale that to a grocery rack or a warehouse freezer bay and the exposure balloons. Now knock the power or the compressor out on a triple-digit afternoon, and that whole inventory is in jeopardy inside a few hours. Then stack on the sales you lose while the line sits dark and the wages you burn paying staff to triage what can still be saved.
Hold a pre-staged trailer up against that risk and it reads like cheap insurance, a fixed, predictable expense parked in front of a loss with no ceiling. That is exactly why the businesses that got stung once tape our number by the phone. There is never a second scramble, because the next time they dial before the product has a chance to warm. Owning every trailer ourselves means we can scale the answer to fit. A single compact box suits a corner cafe. A clustered setup covers a warehouse floor. Either turns around the same day.
Desert heat is why Nevada cold storage fails
Nevada is the driest state in the country, and outside the Sierra it is desert or high desert from corner to corner. The southern valleys around Las Vegas, Laughlin, and Mesquite bake through a long summer of 105 to 115 degree afternoons, and even the northern high desert around Reno and Elko climbs into the 90s while dropping into hard freezes in winter. That swing is exactly the environment that wears out refrigeration compressors.
The July through September monsoon adds humidity spikes, dust storms, and lightning to the mix in the south, while the Sierra front feeds wildfire and winter power outages in the north. Every one of those events is a cold-storage risk. A compressor already fighting a 110-degree day does not need a brownout or a power flicker to give up, and when it does, the product inside starts warming immediately.
That is the case for keeping a plan on the shelf before you need one. Our trailers use 4-inch insulated single-shell fiberglass walls and run off a generator when the grid is unreliable, so they hold their setpoint through the worst Nevada throws at them. When your built-in walk-in cannot keep up, a KryoFridge trailer parked outside the back door is the backup that actually works in this climate.
Freezer trailer rentals for remote Nevada job sites
Nevada is the top gold-producing state in the country, and most of that gold comes out of the north. The Carlin Trend, Goldstrike, Cortez, and the rest of the Nevada Gold Mines operations run huge crews near Elko, Carlin, and Battle Mountain, and those crews eat around the clock. Mine-site catering contractors and man-camp kitchens need bulk cold storage that can sit at a remote pad for weeks, run off a generator, and hold a hard freeze through 100-degree afternoons. That is exactly what our trailers are built to do.
It is not only gold. The Robinson copper mine near Ely, Round Mountain in Nye County, the Silver Peak lithium operation in Clayton Valley, and the Thacker Pass lithium project up in Humboldt County all pull workforces into country where the nearest full grocery is an hour or more away. When a catering outfit or a camp manager needs to stage a month of frozen protein and refrigerated produce on site, a KryoFridge trailer becomes the kitchen's walk-in, sized 6x8, 6x12, or 6x16 depending on the crew count.
The Reno-Sparks corridor is one of the fastest-growing logistics hubs in the West. The Tahoe Reno Industrial Center off USA Parkway holds the Tesla Gigafactory, Panasonic, Switch data centers, and massive Walmart and Amazon distribution operations, and cold-chain warehouses there occasionally need surge capacity or a stopgap when a refrigeration system goes down. The same is true across the North Las Vegas industrial parks along the I-15 corridor, where 3PLs and grocery distributors run cold docks that cannot afford a gap.
Remote and industrial work is where owning our fleet matters most. A broker cannot promise a trailer will actually show up in Winnemucca or Ely on a Sunday. We can, because the equipment is ours, the drivers are ours, and 24/7 dispatch is a real phone line, not a voicemail. We spec the power up front, generator or a 120V, 20-amp dedicated circuit within 100 feet, so there are no surprises when the trailer lands on a dirt pad in the Great Basin.
Freezer trailer rentals when the grid or the walk-in fails
Nevada summers are brutal on cold storage. Las Vegas, Laughlin, and Mesquite routinely run 105 to 115 degrees, and Laughlin along the Colorado River is one of the hottest inhabited spots in the country. Heat like that pushes NV Energy to its summer peak and pushes tired walk-in compressors past their limit. When a restaurant, banquet hall, or grocery loses refrigeration on a 110-degree afternoon, every hour without backup cold is thousands of dollars of inventory on the line. We stage a trailer fast and hold the setpoint until the repair is done.
Storms and outages hit the whole state. The July through September monsoon brings flash flooding and lightning-driven outages to the south, while winter storms in the Sierra knock out power across Reno, Carson City, and the Carson Valley. When NV Energy or a local co-op has crews working a downed line, a KryoFridge trailer is the difference between saving a cooler full of product and hauling it to the dumpster. We run on a generator when the grid is dark, so a neighborhood outage does not have to become a total loss.
Wildfire is the other Nevada threat, especially in the north. Sierra fires like the Tamarack and Caldor blazes and the Numbers and Loyalton fires near Gardnerville and the state line have triggered evacuations and public-safety power shutoffs that cut electricity for days. Grocery stores, care facilities, and evacuation kitchens all need emergency cold storage in those windows. We keep trailers ready to roll toward Reno, Carson City, and the western valleys when fire season turns bad.
The pattern is always the same: the failure is sudden, the clock is loud, and the product is perishable. Because we own the fleet and dispatch 24/7 across Nevada, California, and Utah, we can commit to a trailer and mean it. Our record on that promise is a 0% spoilage history, and we intend to keep it that way one emergency at a time.
Setting the Right Temperature for What You're Holding
"Cold" is not one number. Different product stays safe inside different temperature windows, which is the entire reason a precise digital set-point matters, and in the middle of a Nevada heat wave, a load that slips out of its window is a load you write off. Use the chart below as the reference our customers lean on when they size a rental.
| Product | Target holding band | Trailer mode |
|---|---|---|
| Ice cream and frozen desserts | -10°F to 0°F | Deep freeze |
| Frozen proteins, seafood, prepared meals | 0°F or below | Freezer |
| Fresh meat and poultry (short hold) | 28°F to 32°F | Refrigerated |
| Dairy, deli, packaged produce | 34°F to 38°F | Refrigerated |
| Beverages, florals, catering trays | 38°F to 45°F | Refrigerated |
One figure outranks everything in that chart, and it is not listed there: 40°F. Food-safety guidance treats the band between 40°F and 140°F as the zone where bacteria thrive, and the clock on perishable product starts ticking the moment it crosses 40 on the way up. Roughly four cumulative hours above that line and most refrigerated inventory is no longer safe to serve. Picture that countdown running on a 100-degree afternoon in Nevada with the walk-in dark, and the urgency of a quick trailer drop stops being abstract.
Tell us the single coldest item you are holding when you call, and we dial the trailer to that. One unit carries a straight freezer load with no fuss. But when your list mixes deep-freeze desserts with fresh-cold produce for the same remodel or event, we will usually point you toward a split setup or a second box so neither side of the load has to settle for the wrong temperature.
Power and Placement on a Nevada Site
Powering one of our trailers is refreshingly simple, and there are precisely two ways to do it. Either you have a dedicated 120-volt, 20-amp circuit reachable within roughly 100 feet of the parking spot, or we bring a generator. What the units will not accept is standard 208 to 240V building service, so a quick question about your outlet before dispatch heads off any surprise on delivery day.
- Dedicated outlet on hand? Most Nevada kitchens and markets already have the right one, so we plug straight in and the unit begins pulling the temperature down.
- Open lot or event field? A generator keeps the trailer running anywhere, whether that is an event lawn or a warehouse yard.
- Worried about a shutoff? A unit on a generator keeps your cold chain alive when a fire-season power shutoff takes the surrounding grid down.
On placement, all the unit really asks for is a fairly flat patch with enough room for the delivery truck to maneuver it in and set it straight, plus either a power source in reach or space for a generator. We lock down the exact drop point before dispatch, and our drivers know the Nevada layout cold, so the delivery is one clean trip instead of a guessing game on the property.
From the Field, Real Nevada-Area Saves
Chick-fil-A operator, Las Vegas, walk-in cooler down mid-rush
The call came in on a Friday at 6:30 pm, dead in the middle of dinner rush, with the walk-in cooler down and drive-through lines wrapped around the building. A failed walk-in during peak service is a red alert. We took the call, prepped a trailer, and dispatched immediately, and had it on site within 34 minutes of the phone ringing. The crew moved product straight into the trailer and finished the rush without dumping a thing.
Denny's, overnight power outage on Mother's Day
An overnight outage shorted the fuse on their walk-in cooler, and Mother's Day is one of the busiest days on their calendar. Losing cold storage that morning would have been a disaster. Our dispatch team got three freezer trailers on site to hold all their pies, meats, and prepped ingredients, and the restaurant served a full house through the day with zero product loss.
Mine-camp catering contractor, Elko County
A catering contractor feeding a rotating crew at a mine north of Elko needed to stage a month of frozen protein and refrigerated produce on a remote pad with no reliable grocery run. We delivered a 6x16 freezer trailer, set it to a hard freeze, and hooked it to their generator so it held temperature through 100-degree afternoons. The camp ran a full rotation without a single cold-chain gap, and we swapped the unit for the next crew cycle.
Renting a Freezer Trailer in Nevada, Step by Step
On a bad day, booking should be the part that does not add stress. Four steps, an upfront number, and a single person who owns the whole thing.
1 · Describe the load
Tell us whether it is freezer or fridge product, a ballpark volume, and your rough window. That is enough for us to call the right size.
2 · We finalize size, power & spot
We pair you with a unit, confirm whether you have a dedicated circuit or need a generator, and pin the exact drop point so the truck makes one trip.
3 · Delivery and cold-down
We arrive on your schedule, about 45 minutes for a true emergency, set the trailer, energize it, and let it drive down to your number.
4 · Run it, reach us anytime
It holds the set-point for your entire term while our line stays live the whole way through. Wrap up, and we swing back for the pickup.
Nevada food-safety and power rules for cold storage
Nevada follows the FDA Food Code, which means cold holding for potentially hazardous food has to stay at or below 41 degrees Fahrenheit, and frozen product must stay solidly frozen. In the south, the Southern Nevada Health District enforces those standards across Clark County, while the Washoe County Health District covers Reno, Sparks, and the north. If a walk-in fails, moving product into a refrigerated trailer that holds 41 or below keeps you compliant instead of forcing you to condemn inventory.
Temporary events add their own layer. A festival, rodeo, or convention with on-site food service usually needs a temporary food establishment permit from the local health authority, and inspectors will check that cold storage is holding safe temperatures on demand. A KryoFridge trailer with a digital setpoint gives your team a straightforward way to keep product in the safe zone through a multi-day Nevada event.
Power is the other rule to plan around. Every KryoFridge trailer runs one of exactly two ways: off a generator we can provide, or off a 120V, 20-amp dedicated circuit located within 100 feet of the trailer. That is it, no 208 or 240-volt hookup required. We confirm the power situation before delivery so the trailer is cold and code-ready the moment it lands, whether that is a Strip loading dock or a dirt pad in Nye County.
What our trailers bring to a health-code inspection
- NSF-approved interior surfaces built for direct food contact.
- A digital controller that puts the set-point in plain view for the inspector.
- Proper drainage and a sealed, food-safe insulated box.
- Licensed and insured on every unit we put on the road.
One caveat we always state plainly: we supply the food-safe, temperature-holding hardware itself, but we are not a temperature-logging or alarm-monitoring service. If your program requires continuous written records, line that vendor up on your own.
Three Trailer Sizes, and How to Pick Yours
We stock three footprints, and together they stretch from a one-kitchen overflow all the way to distribution and disaster-scale capacity. Each one is dual-purpose by design, a single adjustable system that swings between freezer and refrigerator on a precise digital set-point, and each one lives on either a dedicated circuit or a generator.
| Trailer | Best for | Temp range |
|---|---|---|
| 6x8 | Tight lots, small kitchens, short overflow | -10°F to 50°F |
| 6x12 | Grocers, caterers, mid-size events | Deep-freeze capable |
| 6x16 | Distribution, large events, disaster | Heavy-duty reefer |
Each unit holds a precise digital set-point and runs on a dedicated 120V/20A circuit or a generator.
6x8, the compact pick for tight retail lots
Think eight or so pallet spots, and the unit to grab when square footage is the whole problem. It slips into the pinched service yards and cramped back-of-house corners that a larger box cannot even swing into. One cafe or small-market walk-in goes down, and this is almost always enough cold to cover it, plus the simplest unit to set in a small space.
6x12, the everyday pick for grocers and caterers
Call it fourteen pallet spots, deep-freeze rated, and far and away the size people ask for most. It lands right in the middle: roomy enough for a multi-day catering job or a restaurant that needs true walk-in-equivalent room while the kitchen is torn up. Roomy enough that nobody is playing Tetris with shelves, yet still small enough to set in most commercial back lots without a site survey.
6x16, the heavy hauler for distribution and disaster
Roughly twenty pallet spots paired with a heavy-duty reefer plant engineered to keep deep-freeze locked in even when the ambient air is merciless. Reach for it when a warehouse bay drops, when a large festival needs an anchor, or when a relief operation is carrying its own cold chain.
Not sure which size fits? Tell us roughly what you are storing and for how long, and we will spec it for you rather than nudging you into a bigger unit than the job calls for.
More Nevada Cold-Storage Rental Questions
The questions that surface once the basics are settled. Tap any topic to open it.
Freezer trailer vs. portable walk-in vs. reefer truck. Which should you rent?
The pop-up walk-in cooler. Cheap to rent and easy to set up, but it chills, it does not freeze, and it draws every watt it needs from your building while depending on a calm ambient temperature around it. The second your building loses power, your cooler loses it too.
The refrigerated box truck. Designed to haul product on the interstate, not to sit in a lot and babysit it. Parked, it idles fuel all day, broadcasts compressor noise across a storefront or an event lawn, and pins down a tractor plus a driver you probably do not need.
The freezer trailer we deliver. Built from the ground up to be dropped on a pad and to defend a temperature for as long as the job runs. It freezes deep, carries NSF approval, locks, stays quiet near guests, and lives on nothing more than one dedicated circuit or a generator.
NSF build quality and health-code compliance
Even a rented box has to satisfy the county environmental health office that licenses and inspects every food facility. Show an inspector a unit that cannot document its temperature or was not built for food contact, and they have the authority to halt service immediately.
That is a bar each of our trailers clears: NSF-approved throughout, food-safe interior surfaces, proper drainage, and a digital controller that puts the set-point in plain view. We supply the food-safe, temperature-holding hardware itself, but we are not a temperature-logging or alarm-monitoring service.
Multi-trailer setups for distribution and large operations
For a typical kitchen or market, one box does the job. Distribution floors, big fairs, and full-scale disaster response routinely need more, and because the fleet is ours, we can cluster several units and bring them online in waves as the work expands. Match the cold capacity to the operation rather than make the operation squeeze itself into one box.
Short-term emergency vs. long-term and contract storage
The clock is yours to set. Some jobs are a handful of days for an emergency or a single event. Others stretch across weeks or months for a remodel or a seasonal swell, and a few become standing contracts for businesses that want capacity parked on standby. Name your window and you will get a clean quote, no penalty for an honest "not sure yet."
Renting vs. building permanent cold storage
Building permanent cold storage is a capital project in every sense: you hire a refrigeration contractor, schedule the electrical, pull a building permit, and wait weeks before a single pallet goes inside. A rental turns that equation on its head. You bring in precisely the cold you need, for precisely the stretch you need it, and the trailer is holding temperature that same week, frequently that same day, with the commitment ending the moment your need is over.
How a trailer holds deep-freeze in triple-digit heat
Three engineered elements carry the load. Thick insulated panels and tightly gasketed doors lock the sun outside and the cold inside. A self-contained reefer condensing system specified with surplus capacity keeps stripping heat out of the box even when the air outside is brutal. And a digital thermostat locks onto your chosen number and cycles the compressor to hold the line. Run those three together and a trailer baking on open asphalt behaves like one tucked in a cool warehouse. That is also why power is the first thing we ask about: the design delivers its safety margin only on steady, uninterrupted power.
Freezer trailer rentals in every region of Nevada
We deliver refrigeration and freezer trailers across all of Nevada, same-day in the Las Vegas Valley and next-day to the north and the rural counties. Here are the cities and regions we cover most.
Neighborhoods and towns we cover include Las Vegas, Henderson, North Las Vegas, Paradise, Spring Valley, Enterprise, Sunrise Manor, Summerlin, Boulder City, Mesquite, Pahrump, Laughlin, Reno, Sparks, Carson City, Gardnerville, Minden, Fernley, Fallon, Elko, Winnemucca, Ely, Tonopah, West Wendover.
Las Vegas Valley. Las Vegas, Henderson, North Las Vegas, Paradise, Spring Valley, Enterprise, Sunrise Manor, and Summerlin are our busiest ground. Convention overflow, Strip catering, grocery outages, and restaurant walk-in failures all get same-day trailers here.
Reno-Sparks & the Truckee Meadows. Northern Nevada's hub runs on events like Hot August Nights and the Reno Rodeo, plus the huge Tahoe Reno Industrial Center cold-chain operations. We reach Reno, Sparks, and Fernley next day, faster in an emergency.
Carson City & the Carson Valley. The state capital, Minden, and Gardnerville sit right under the Sierra, which means wildfire and winter outage risk. We stage trailers toward the western valleys when fire season or a snowstorm threatens the grid.
Elko & the mining north. Elko, Carlin, Battle Mountain, and Winnemucca anchor the gold country of the Carlin Trend. Mine-camp kitchens and catering contractors here need generator-ready bulk cold storage that can sit at a remote pad for weeks.
I-15 & Colorado River corridor. Mesquite, Laughlin, and Boulder City catch some of the hottest weather in the state and a steady flow of resort and tourism catering. Heat this extreme wears out built-in refrigeration fast, so backup cold is a smart standby.
Rural & Great Basin Nevada. Pahrump, Tonopah, Ely, Fallon, and the small towns along US-50 and US-95 are hours from the nearest major grocery. When cold storage fails out here, a trailer we own and dispatch statewide is often the only real option.
Planned rentals are usually scheduled same-week, and a true emergency puts a trailer on your Nevada lot in about 45 minutes.
What Nevada operators say about us
"Our convention caterer needed overflow cold space for a three-day show and KryoFridge had a trailer behind our dock before load-in. Flipped it from cooler to freezer halfway through the run without missing a beat. These guys know Vegas events."
Marcus D. · banquet chef, Las Vegas Strip"Lost a compressor on a 95-degree Saturday and thought we were done for. They had a trailer to us the next morning and we saved the whole cold section. Real company, real trailer, real fast."
Renae T. · grocery manager, Reno"We feed a mine crew way out past Carlin and needed a freezer that could sit on a pad for a month and run off our generator. It held a hard freeze through some ugly afternoons. Swapped it clean for the next rotation."
Bill K. · camp catering, Elko County"Walk-in died Friday night at the worst possible time. One call and a trailer showed up fast. Zero product lost. I keep their number saved now."
Dana P. · restaurant owner, Henderson"Booked them for a big cook-off weekend and added a second trailer mid-event when the crowd blew past our estimate. Dispatch actually answered at night. That is the whole ballgame for us."

Nevada Freezer & Refrigerated Trailer Rental FAQ
Do you really cover all of Nevada, not just Las Vegas?
Yes. Las Vegas and the surrounding valley are our busiest market and usually get same-day service, but we dispatch statewide. We regularly deliver to Reno, Sparks, Carson City, Elko, Winnemucca, Mesquite, Laughlin, Pahrump, and the rural counties along US-50 and US-95. For the north and remote sites we typically deliver next day, faster in a true emergency.
How fast can you get a trailer to me?
In the Las Vegas Valley we often deliver the same day, and in a walk-in emergency we have been on site inside an hour. For Reno, Elko, and the rural parts of the state, plan on next-day delivery, though our 24/7 dispatch will always push to move faster when product is on the line. Calling early gives us the most options.
What temperature range do the trailers hold?
Every KryoFridge trailer is dual-purpose and adjusts anywhere from 0 to 50 degrees Fahrenheit through a digital thermostat. That means one unit works as a refrigerated walk-in for produce and dairy or as a hard freezer for proteins and desserts, and you can change the setpoint on the same trailer as your needs change.
How do the trailers get power on a remote site?
There are exactly two ways to power a KryoFridge trailer. Either we provide a generator, or you supply a 120V, 20-amp dedicated circuit within 100 feet of the trailer. No 208 or 240-volt hookup is needed. For mine camps, festivals like Burning Man, and outage jobs, the generator option means the trailer runs completely off-grid.
What sizes are available?
We stock 6x8, 6x12, and 6x16 trailers. A 6x8 fits a small restaurant or a single walk-in's worth of product, while a 6x16 handles grocery-scale volume, a mine camp's monthly order, or a large catering buildout. We help you match the size to your crew count or inventory when you request a quote.
Are the trailers NSF approved for food?
Yes. Our trailers are NSF approved and built for commercial food storage, with 4-inch insulated single-shell fiberglass walls, a keg-duty floor, and a 54-inch pallet door for easy loading. They hold cold-holding temperatures at or below 41 degrees Fahrenheit, which keeps you in line with the FDA Food Code and Nevada health district rules.
Can you handle a power outage or wildfire emergency?
That is one of our most common calls. When NV Energy has crews on a downed line, a monsoon storm knocks out the grid, or a Sierra wildfire triggers a public-safety power shutoff, we roll a trailer toward the emergency and run it on a generator so your product stays cold through the outage. Because we own the fleet and dispatch 24/7, we can commit to a trailer and mean it.
Do you serve mine sites and remote industrial locations?
Yes, and it is a big part of what we do in Northern Nevada. Mine-camp kitchens and catering contractors near Elko, Ely, Winnemucca, and Round Mountain use our generator-ready trailers to stage weeks of frozen and refrigerated food on a remote pad. We confirm the power and access up front so the trailer is cold and ready when it lands.
Can I add trailers during a multi-day event?
Absolutely. Nevada events have a way of outgrowing their estimates, so we plan for it. If your headcount jumps at a Vegas convention or a Reno festival, our 24/7 dispatch can bring a second or third trailer mid-event, subject to fleet availability. Booking early and giving us a heads-up on the ceiling helps us stage capacity.
Are you a broker, or do you own the trailers?
We own our fleet outright. KryoFridge is a family-owned, direct owner-operated company, not a reseller or a broker that farms your job out to a third party. That is why we can promise a trailer will actually show up in Winnemucca or on the Strip on a Sunday, because the equipment, the drivers, and the dispatch line are all ours.
What does a freezer trailer rental cost in Nevada?
Pricing depends on the trailer size, how long you need it, where in the state you are, and whether you need a generator. The fastest way to get a straight answer is to call us or request a quote, and we will put together numbers for your exact job. We keep it simple and quote the whole thing up front.
Which brands trust KryoFridge?
On the freezer side we are trusted by some of the most recognized names in America, including McDonald's, Chick-fil-A, and Dutch Bros Coffee, along with many more national restaurant, grocery, and quick-service brands. We are licensed and insured, family-owned, and we have kept a 0% spoilage record doing this work across Nevada, California, and Utah.

How Nevada's desert heat quietly kills your walk-in cooler
If you run a kitchen, grocery, or catering operation anywhere in Nevada, your refrigeration is fighting a harder battle than the manufacturer ever designed it for. Built-in walk-ins and reach-ins are rated for normal indoor conditions, but Nevada is the driest state in the country and, outside the Sierra, one of the hottest. The southern valleys around Las Vegas, Laughlin, and Mesquite run 105 to 115 degrees through a long summer, and even the northern high desert around Reno and Elko pushes into the 90s.
Heat is the enemy of a refrigeration compressor. The system works by pulling heat out of the cold box and rejecting it into the surrounding air, and the hotter that surrounding air is, the harder the compressor has to run to move the same amount of heat. On a 110-degree Las Vegas afternoon, a unit that hums along fine in spring is running near its limit, drawing more power, and building more wear with every cycle. Over a Nevada summer, that adds up to compressors that fail years before they should.

Cold storage for Nevada mine camps and remote job sites
Nevada is the number one gold-producing state in the United States, and feeding the crews that pull that gold out of the ground is a logistics problem most people never think about. The Carlin Trend, Goldstrike, and Cortez operations under Nevada Gold Mines run large workforces near Elko, Carlin, and Battle Mountain, often in country where the nearest full-service grocery is an hour or more away. Keeping those crews fed means staging bulk food on site, and bulk food means serious cold storage.
It is not only gold country. The Robinson copper mine near Ely, Round Mountain in Nye County, the long-running Silver Peak lithium operation in Clayton Valley, and the newer Thacker Pass lithium project in Humboldt County all draw workers into remote high desert. Add oil and gas service work, ranching operations, and highway and construction crews strung along US-50 and US-95, and you have a whole category of Nevada operations that cannot rely on a nearby store.
A power-outage and wildfire cold-storage plan for Nevada businesses
Power in Nevada is reliable most of the time, and then it is not. Summer heat drives NV Energy to its annual peak, monsoon storms bring lightning and flash flooding to the south, and the Sierra front feeds wildfires and heavy winter storms in the north. Any one of those can take your electricity, and when it goes, your refrigeration goes with it. For a restaurant, grocery, or care facility, an outage is not just an inconvenience, it is a direct threat to the product you cannot afford to lose.
The first thing to understand is how little time you actually have. A well-stocked walk-in will hold temperature for a while with the door closed, but on a hot Nevada day that window is short, and every time someone opens the door to check, it gets shorter. Once the box climbs past 41 degrees, potentially hazardous food is on a food-safety clock, and health authorities are clear that product held too long in the danger zone has to be discarded. The math turns ugly fast.

The event and convention cold-storage playbook for Las Vegas and Reno
Nevada hosts events at a scale few states can match, and every one of them runs on cold food and cold drinks. Las Vegas alone cycles through CES, the Electric Daisy Carnival, Life is Beautiful, the Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix, the National Finals Rodeo, and a nonstop convention calendar at the Las Vegas Convention Center and the resort ballrooms. Up north, Reno and Sparks carry Hot August Nights, the Reno Rodeo, the Best in the West Nugget Rib Cook-Off, and the Great Reno Balloon Race. If you cater any of it, cold storage is your bottleneck.
The core problem is that permanent kitchens are sized for permanent service. A resort banquet kitchen or a convention center commissary is built to feed its own house, not to absorb a 5,000-plate off-site gala or a three-day trade show with a full catering buildout on top of the normal load. When the built-in cold storage is full, the overflow has to go somewhere, and the smart move is to bring the cold storage to the event rather than shuttle product back and forth across a packed lot.
